Sole Derivatives Lawyer

We are partnered with a small international bank who are seeking a lawyer to join their legal team. This will be covering a very broad range of derivatives work across all asset classes. Different to other similar in-house roles you will have a lot of opportunity to be involved with other legal matters across other areas such as DCM.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate
  OTC derivatives documentation
  , including ISDAs, CSAs, GMRAs, GMSLAs and related agreements.
• Advise on
  capital markets transactions
  , including derivatives, collateral and financing arrangements for structured bond issuances.
• Support derivatives related
  policy development, regulatory initiatives
  and broader in-house legal matters.
• Provide
  strategic legal advice
  to senior stakeholders and collaborate with internal teams across Risk, Compliance, and Client Coverage.
• Liaise with
  external counsel and advisors
  to manage transactional and regulatory matters effectively.

About You

• Qualified lawyer with
  2-10
  years\’ post-qualification experience
  gained in a leading law firm or major financial institution.
• Strong knowledge of
  EMEA derivatives markets
  and the associated legal and regulatory frameworks.
• Proven experience negotiating complex
  derivatives and capital markets documentation
  .
• Excellent communication, analytical and negotiation skills, with a proactive and pragmatic approach.
• Highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
