We are working with a well-regarded London law firm that is looking to hire a Banking Associate at around 3β4 PQE. This is a permanent opportunity within a small but growing banking team, offering a broad mix of lender and borrower-side work. The practice has a particular strength in real estate finance, but the successful candidate will also gain exposure to a wider range of finance matters, often working closely with other teams across the firm.
This would suit a banking lawyer who enjoys being hands-on, client-facing and involved in matters from an early stage. The role will include:
- Drafting and reviewing finance documents
- Advising clients on live transactions
- Managing deal processes
- Playing an active part in the continued growth of the practice
Because of the size and structure of the team, this is a particularly good opportunity for someone who wants close partner contact, proper client exposure and the chance to take on real responsibility rather than feeling like a small part of a much larger machine.
You will ideally have experience from a recognised banking or finance practice, with exposure to finance transactions and a strong understanding of how banking law applies commercially. Real estate finance experience would be helpful, although the firm is open to candidates with a broader banking background.
The firm offers good-quality work, a supportive culture and a sensible platform for someone looking to continue developing within a busy City practice. For more information, please get in touch in confidence.
