Senior Legal Counsel - Equities Structured Notes

Location: EMEA (Remote options available)

Contract Duration: 12 months, with view to become permanent.

A leading financial institution client of ours is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to support their growing Equities Structured Notes business, building on the success of their credit team. This contract role is expected to transition into a permanent position and will pay competitively in the market.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead template development and automation to streamline legal operations.
• Oversee MiFID II, EMIR, and cross-border distribution compliance for structured products.
• Provide legal guidance on product documentation, working closely with structurers and product teams.
• Support the global expansion of the structured products business, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.

What We’re Looking For:

• Expertise in MiFID II, EMIR, and cross-border distribution in financial services.
• Proven in-house legal experience with structured products and equities.
• Strong collaborative skills with the ability to advise cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with legal task automation and process improvement.
