We are working with a specialist London practice advising buy-side clients, including hedge funds and asset managers. The partners are highly experienced in complex trading and financing arrangements, and the firm is recognised for being at the forefront of the market. It operates as a lean, senior-led team, which means paralegals gain meaningful exposure and responsibility rather than being siloed.
The practice has grown steadily since being founded by its partners, and is now expanding further due to a strong pipeline of work.
The firm is looking to appoint two experienced Paralegals to support on a high volume of ISDA and related trading documentation. You will work closely with partners, have visibility on live matters, and contribute directly to client delivery. This environment suits someone who is looking to progress towards solicitor qualification in a high performing, specialist setting.
Responsibilities
β’ Reviewing and marking up ISDA Master Agreements, Schedules and Credit Support Annexes
β’ Supporting documentation across areas such as prime brokerage, futures and clearing, custody and ancillary agreements
β’ Liaising with counsel, counterparties and internal stakeholders to drive documents to completion
β’ Maintaining trackers, document libraries, negotiation notes and filing systems
β’ Assisting with platform onboarding, KYC document coordination and workflow process improvements
β’ Providing support and guidance to more junior paralegals within the team
What we are looking for;
β’ Paralegals with around 2 to 4 years of experience in derivatives or structured finance documentation
β’ Familiarity with negotiating or coordinating ISDA documentation is important
β’ Comfortable working in a fast-paced trading environment, with accuracy and attention to detail
β’ Confident communicator who can work directly with senior lawyers and sophisticated clients
β’ Motivated by progression and seeing this role as a platform for qualification and long term career development
You will have close access to partners and hands-on involvement in significant matters, work in a culture that encourages development and recognises commitment, work on a hybrid working pattern with genuine flexibility and work for a firm with a reputation that opens doors, with previous paralegals moving on to excellent onward roles.
