An excellent opportunity has arisen for a French-speaking Paralegal to join a leading London litigation team on a one-year contract. The role sits within a highly regarded Commercial Litigation and Civil Fraud department, known for handling complex, cross-border disputes involving multinational clients, governments, and high-net-worth individuals. You will be supporting a team of experienced lawyers on one high-profile, international case. This is a hands-on role offering exposure to significant litigation proceedings and client work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative and legal support throughout the life of the case
- Prepare hearing and trial materials, including bundles and indices
- Liaise with external parties such as transcribers, Counsel, and experts
- Draft legal research memos on a range of issues
- Take detailed notes during client meetings and conference calls
- Handle French-language communication and documentation as needed
Requirements:
- Fluent in written and spoken French and English
- A law degree or GDL, plus LPC or BPTC (or equivalent)
- Minimum of one year’s paralegal experience in a litigation department
- Experience working on complex, large-scale cases
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Strong written communication and confident interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
