An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Italian-speaking paralegal to join a top-tier London law firm ranked by leading directories for its expertise across multiple practice areas.
Our highly regarded Commercial Litigation and Civil Fraud team specialises in fraud (civil and criminal), commercial disputes, international corporate investigations, and cross-border matters, including extradition and mutual legal assistance. This is a full-time paralegal position on an initial twelve-month contract, supporting a single high-profile case within the Civil Fraud and Commercial Litigation department.
The successful candidate will provide essential legal and administrative assistance, including:
- Preparing and organising bundles for hearings and trials;
- Assisting with administrative tasks such as agreeing indices and arranging transcribers;
- Managing the filing and retrieval of documents;
- Liaising with external parties via email and telephone;
- Providing logistical support throughout the case;
- Conducting legal research and drafting research memos;
- Taking detailed notes in meetings and conference calls with clients, Counsel, and third parties.
Requirements
We are seeking a highly motivated and well-organised individual with exceptional communication skills. The ideal candidate will have:
- A strong academic background, including a law degree or GDL, plus the LPC or BPTC;
- A minimum of one year’s previous paralegal experience in a litigation department;
- Experience working on large, complex litigation cases;
- Fluency in Italian and English, with excellent written and spoken communication skills;
- Strong organisational and interpersonal skills;
- A proactive and detail-oriented approach to work;
- The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
