A leading asset manager is looking to hire a Legal Counsel into its private equity business.
The role will sit closely with the private equity investment team, advising on the establishment and launch of new funds and mandates, fund structuring and documentation, investor negotiations and the ongoing legal management of funds and investments.
A key part of the role will be taking ownership of the drafting and negotiation of core fund documentation, including LPAs, PPMs, IMAs and side letters. You will also lead the internal legal review of documentation prepared by external counsel and work directly with investors and advisers throughout the launch process.
You will work closely with internal tax, compliance, risk, finance and product teams, as well as external counsel, with exposure to a broad range of private equity matters across international markets.
The ideal candidate will have 2–4 PQE gained within a private funds team at a leading international law firm, or relevant in-house experience within the private equity industry. Strong technical knowledge of private equity funds, alongside a working understanding of AIFMD, SFDR and SDR.
This is a strong opportunity for a private equity funds lawyer looking to move in-house and take on a broad, hands-on role with significant responsibility for fund formation and investor-facing work.
