Data Protection Legal Counsel – 12 month FTC
We are currently working with a prominent tech company who are seeking a mid-level Data Protection Lawyer to join their in-house legal team, on a contract basis.
This is a full-time, onsite role based in London, requiring 5 days a week. The start date is urgent, ideally in April/May, though there is some flexibility for the right candidate. The contract is initially for 12 months, with the possibility of a 10-month extension.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide critical support in developing and implementing data protection compliance strategies.
- Advise on privacy compliance for Requests for Information (RFIs) and investigations, in collaboration with Disputes and other cross-functional teams.
- Support and collaborate on the company’s strategy with data protection authorities.
- Handle and respond to Data Subject Requests (DSRs) efficiently.
- Work closely with the Global DPO, Security, Disputes, Policy teams, and other internal stakeholders to ensure privacy compliance across the business.
- Conduct assessments related to emerging products, including GenAI-related developments.
- Provide legal support and advice to the Global DPO team.
