We’re looking for an experienced Technology Commercial Lawyer to join a leading bank on a 6-month contract. This is an exciting opportunity to support the bank during a critical period of digital transformation and IT contract renewal. The role is flexible, offering remote work or the option to work from offices in London or Leeds.
In this role, you’ll draft and negotiate key commercial agreements, including technology procurement, SaaS, cloud services, and outsourcing contracts. You’ll advise on legal risks tied to tech and innovation projects and ensure compliance with banking regulations and internal policies. You’ll collaborate with teams across procurement, IT, risk, compliance, and data privacy, providing essential legal support on the bank’s digital transformation.
What we’re looking for:
- 7-10 years PQE, with a mix of private practice and in-house experience (financial services/banking is a plus)
- Expertise in technology contracts, IT outsourcing, software licensing, and digital transformation
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks like PRA/FCA, EBA guidelines, and GDPR
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
