Interim Legal Counsel – Ad Hoc Summer Cover
Start: Mid-June onboarding (cover from 14 July – mid-August)
Duration: ~3 full days spread across 1 month (ad hoc support)
Remote-first (1 in-person meeting in London)
Rate: £150–£200/hour (DOE)
We’re partnering with an award-winning creative marketing agency to find a seasoned Legal Counsel for short-term ad hoc cover while their General Counsel is on leave. This is a unique opportunity to work with a highly regarded, fast-moving team delivering campaigns for global brands like Mastercard and the BRIT Awards.
You will step into a trusted, lean in-house legal function, where your commercial judgment and ability to hit the ground running will be valued. The team is well set up for interim support and onboarding will be smooth.
About the opportunity:- Provide flexible legal support from 14 June for approx. 1 month
- Estimated 3 full days’ worth of work, billed hourly
- Direct engagement with commercial and ops teams across UK, Dubai, and Amsterdam
- Support across a broad mix of legal matters, including:
- Commercial contracts
- Event & production agreements
- Marketing/advertising law (ASA, consumer)
- Data privacy, IP, risk & light-touch employment/compliance
- Senior lawyer (8+ PQE) with strong in-house experience
- Confident operating independently and advising senior stakeholders
- Ideally familiar with creative, marketing, advertising or events-led environments
- Commercially-minded, agile, and able to build rapport quickly
