In-House IT Lawyer

We’re thrilled to be partnering with a global law firm to help them find an experienced IT/Commercial Lawyer who will sit within the firm’s In-House legal team , working closely with and supporting the General Counsel.

Due to the increasing volume of work, this position offers an excellent opportunity for a lawyer with 5+ years PQE across IT technology, software, and IT contracts, to contribute to a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The role is based in either the Glasgow or Birmingham offices and offers hybrid working options.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert legal advice and support on IT, software, and technology contracts.
• Collaborate with the procurement team to negotiate and draft contracts related to IT services, software licenses, and technology procurement.
• Advise on procurement processes, manage contract disputes, and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
• Draft and review agreements for various technology-related contracts, including SaaS, PaaS, software licensing, and managed services.
• Assist with the development and implementation of contract policies and procedures.

What We’re Looking For:

• Qualified solicitor with 5+ years PQE ideally across IT, software, and technology-related contracts.
• Strong understanding of technology law, including intellectual property, licensing, data protection, and confidentiality.
• Collaborative, proactive, and able to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
