Facilities Assistant – London (2pm–10pm Shift)

An international law firm with a longstanding reputation for excellence is seeking a Facilities Assistant to join its London office.

This role sits within the Facilities Management team, the group that keeps the office running smoothly day to day. It’s an ideal opportunity for someone looking to develop their professional and operational skills in a fast-paced, high-performing environment.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 2pm–10pm; a rare opportunity for those who prefer a later working day.

You’ll act as the first point of contact for all facilities matters in the London office. From managing office maintenance and mail services to supporting moves, events, and building operations, this is a hands-on position requiring initiative, reliability, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating building maintenance, security, and general office repairs
  • Managing mail and courier services, both incoming and outgoing
  • Supporting office moves and preparing workspaces for new joiners
  • Conducting regular inspections to ensure facilities are maintained to a high standard
  • Maintaining supplies, stationery, and office equipment
  • Assisting with health and safety compliance and signage
  • Liaising with external contractors and service providers

Ideal candidate

The ideal candidate will bring experience in a professional or corporate services environment, along with strong communication skills and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset. You’ll enjoy taking ownership, solving problems, and working collaboratively to keep operations seamless.
