Contract Lawyer - Equity Solutions | Leading Investment Bank | Trading Floor
We're looking for an experienced Contract Lawyer to join the Legal team supporting the Equity Solutions business of a leading investment bank.
Based on the trading floor and working closely with front-office, credit and other stakeholders, you'll advise on sophisticated transactions for clients looking to finance, hedge, build or monetise strategic positions in listed equities.
The role offers exposure to a broad range of transactions, including margin lending, equity derivatives (options, collars, forwards and total return swaps), stake-building transactions, fund financing and prime finance.
You'll be involved throughout the transaction lifecycle, with responsibilities including:
- Advising on the structuring and execution of complex equity financing and derivatives transactions
- Providing transaction management and legal risk advice to the business
- Working closely with the front office, Credit and other control functions through the credit committee and approval process
- Reviewing and coordinating legal opinions and other transaction conditions
- Advising on security, enforcement and potential enforcement routes where required
This is a highly commercial role offering direct exposure to the trading floor and complex, high-value transactions, with the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals across Equities, Credit and Legal.
We're particularly interested in lawyers with experience in equity financing, derivatives, structured finance, margin lending or related transactional work, whether gained within a leading financial institution or private practice.
