We are working with a leading global financial institution to help them find an Associate General Counsel, Risk & Control Advisory, on a 2 month contract basis. This role offers the chance to support high-profile global risk and control initiatives, providing legal counsel on enterprise and cross-product risk management activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal counsel to Independent Risk Management and Central Controls
  • Assist with regulatory Consent Orders and risk & control transformation efforts
  • Contribute to developing and reviewing risk management frameworks across various risk types (credit, price, reputational, etc.)
  • Act as a legal expert on cross-product risk & control issues
  • Support risk & control initiatives, committees, and governance processes
  • Deliver training to Legal teams on risk & control management

Role Requirements:

  • 5-7 years PQE with relevant legal jurisdiction qualification
  • Strong familiarity with institutional banking and financial products
  • Experience managing risk & control issues in large financial institutions
  • Ability to thrive in dynamic environments
  • Previous experience in a major bank or law firm preferred
