We are working with a leading global financial institution to help them find an Associate General Counsel, Risk & Control Advisory, on a 2 month contract basis. This role offers the chance to support high-profile global risk and control initiatives, providing legal counsel on enterprise and cross-product risk management activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal counsel to Independent Risk Management and Central Controls
- Assist with regulatory Consent Orders and risk & control transformation efforts
- Contribute to developing and reviewing risk management frameworks across various risk types (credit, price, reputational, etc.)
- Act as a legal expert on cross-product risk & control issues
- Support risk & control initiatives, committees, and governance processes
- Deliver training to Legal teams on risk & control management
Role Requirements:
- 5-7 years PQE with relevant legal jurisdiction qualification
- Strong familiarity with institutional banking and financial products
- Experience managing risk & control issues in large financial institutions
- Ability to thrive in dynamic environments
- Previous experience in a major bank or law firm preferred
