Operating as a specialist joint venture within a wider prestigious banking group, this firm focuses on funding high-quality residential and mixed-use developments. They are seeking a Senior Loan Administrator to join their Operations team, reporting directly to the Operations Director. This is a pivotal position supporting the front-office team in the implementation, documentation, and control of bespoke property development loans. You will manage the entire loan lifecycle, ensuring precision and compliance at every stage.
Please note, development finance experience is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities of the Senior Loan Administrator include:- Loan Lifecycle Management: Manage the implementation and control of approved loan facilities from start to finish.
- Drawdown Oversight: Review Quantity Surveyor (QS) reports, verify stage payment certificates, and prepare payments for approval.
- Third-Party Coordination: Instruct and manage relationships with solicitors and surveyors to ensure security, valuations, and monitoring requirements are met.
- System Administration: Post transactions via the Phoebus system and perform reconciliations between bank and loan accounts.
- Compliance & Risk: Conduct CDD and AML checks on directors and beneficial owners; monitor arrears and escalate issues to Lending Directors.
- Reporting: Produce monthly management information (MI) and verify complex financial statements.
- Candidates will preferably have development finance experience.
- Previous experience in a UK Banking operations role with a specific focus on property development finance is essential.
- Technical Skills: Deep understanding of the processes and background required for taking security in relation to secured lending.
- Relationship Management: Proven ability to collaborate with external professionals, including Solicitors and Surveyors.
- Systems: Proficiency in loan management software (knowledge of Phoebus is highly advantageous).
- Salary: Competitive base between £60,000 – £70,000.
