Banking Customer Service Officer (Cantonese)
Up to equivalent of £36,000 pro rata

Due to exciting business growth, our client, a leading international bank based in the heart of central London, is seeking an experienced Banking Customer Service Officer to join their team. This role is a fantastic opportunity for an organised and quick-learning professional to gain experience within the London operations of a globally respected financial institution. This is a vital role focused on providing exceptional operational support and handling complex customer interactions within the commercial banking sector.
Candidates MUST have fluent Cantonese and language skills and must have customer service experience (i.e. Teller/ Relationship Manager etc) working in a bank.
Responsibilities
- Query Resolution: Act as a primary point of contact for complex customer and internal queries, ensuring all issues are resolved quickly and in full compliance with banking protocols. Handing queries over the phone and via email.
- Operational Support: Provide daily support for account maintenance, transaction processing, and reconciliation for a portfolio of commercial clients.
- Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate client records, ensuring all operational activities adhere strictly to internal compliance and external regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Fluency in Cantonese (Written and Spoken) is Mandatory: You must be able to communicate complex banking concepts clearly and professionally in Cantonese.
- Front-Line Banking Experience: Proven experience working in a customer-facing role within a regulated bank. This includes roles such as:
- Bank Teller / Customer Service Representative
- Relationship Manager Support
- Branch Operations Specialist
