The Independent Hotel Shows are highly focused business events dedicated to hotel owners, general managers, designers, and top-tier professionals within the realm of luxury and boutique hotels.
THE POSITION & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
We are looking for a Marketing Executive to join the team to work across the Independent Hotel Show portfolio to undertake and champion the marketing activities for our growing number of events in London , Amsterdam & Munich .
Reporting into a Marketing Manager, your key responsibility is attracting the correct visitors and exhibitors to attend the events, providing the best possible return-on-investment for exhibitors and the best experience for visitors through effective marketing – website content, email, social networks and PPC.

The central London, dog friendly offices are located in a Georgian townhouse, close to the bustle of Oxford Street & Marylebone High Street with private access to Manchester Square Gardens. Core hours are 9-5pm but flexibility outside these hours will be required to suit the needs of the business.
Working alongside the Marketing Manager you will be expected to:
- Implement a dynamic multi-channel digital and offline marketing strategy across the event to achieve key business targets.
- Achieve brand awareness and visitor acquisition targets for the event and brand.
- Execute email and social campaigns to generate leads for the sales function.
- Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including designers, creative agencies, PR, registration etc.
- Update and design website pages.
- Act as brand champion, ensuring adoption of best practice, cross-promotion, and knowledge of the industry over time.
- Track industry and marketing developments, reporting findings to all stakeholders.
- Track and report regularly on campaign results (print, digital, social, PPC/SEO, contras) identifying successes and areas for improvement.
- Produce and compile campaign activity reports.
- Produce sales collateral including but not limited to case studies, whitepapers, and presentations.
- Support the sales team with queries, emails, and lead generation.
- Attending the exhibition for its duration will be expected, as will attending any other competitive and industry events as necessary.
- Create presentation decks and templates for the commercial, content, and marketing teams.
Key Skills and Competencies
- Good understanding of digital systems, best practices, and measurement tools.
- Experience of marketing campaigns.
- Good understanding of how to use and write copy for digital platforms.
- Ability to deliver quality work in a fast paced and high-volume, deadline driven environment.
- Capable of managing a full campaign from start to finish.
- Confident in your ability to manage several projects at once under tight deadlines and accommodate rapid changes.
- A can do will do attitude – A real team player that is happy to collaborate on projects with others.
- Great time management and organisational skills.
- Previous marketing experience in an events or similar role.
- Confident communicator in all mediums – written, face-to-face & on the phone.
- Good experience of using digital platforms to build emails, create social assets update website pages etc.
- Strong Microsoft Office Skills.
- Managing partnership and marketing trackers.
- Creatively minded with a passion for discovering new ways to approach the marketing requirements of the events.
