Montgomery Group is looking for an commercially minded and strategic Head of Content to lead the content strategy across two new summit and exhibition launches.
You will build two market-leading conference programmes from the ground up, creating compelling content, develop influential industry relationships and establish both events as leading meeting places for their respective sectors.
Reporting to the Events Director, the Head of Content will own the content strategy for both launches, working closely with partners, industry leaders and the event team to develop conference programmes that support delegate acquisition, commercial success and year-round engagement .
- Position Overview & Key Responsibilities
- Content Strategy & Programme Development
- Own the content vision for two launch summit and exhibition events, ensuring both programmes are commercially relevant and aligned with market needs.
- Create and deliver compelling conference programmes, keynotes, workshops, roundtables and networking experiences that attract senior decision-makers and position the events as market leaders.
- Own the conference production process from concept through on-site delivery and post-event evaluation.
- Use customer insight, industry trends and emerging challenges to evolve each edition around the needs of the community.
- Develop year-round content initiatives that strengthen audience engagement beyond the live events.
- Stakeholder & Industry Engagement
- Build strong relationships with joint venture, association and other industry partners .
- Work with strategic partners to shape conference themes, identify priority topics and ensure the events remain aligned with industry priorities.
- Engage industry leaders, government representatives, academics and innovators to secure high-calibre speakers and contributors.
- Act as an ambassador for the events and develop a strong network across the communities they serve.
- Represent Montgomery Group at industry events, conferences, networking functions and customer meetings throughout the UK and internationally.
- Community Development
- Lead a year-round community engagement strategy, creating touchpoints including webinars, podcasts, roundtables, industry reports, digital content to strengthen relationships and position the events as thought leaders .
- Identify emerging trends, market opportunities and customer challenges, to inform product development and event strategy.
- Engage the community before, during and after each event through content, networking, and strategic partnerships.
- Use content to enhance the delegate experience and delivers measurable value to exhibitors, sponsors, and attendees.
- Ensure the content strategy supports the commercial strategy and growth of both events.

- Partner with the Commercial Executive, Delegate Community to identify influential buyers, understand audience requirements and maximise delegate engagement.
- Partner with the sales team to identify content-led commercial opportunities and strategic partnerships.
- Ensure content programmes contribute directly to exhibitor ROI, sponsorship value and delegate acquisition.
- Identify and secure high-profile speakers from industry, government, academia and business .
- Manage speaker communications from invitation through on-site delivery, ensuring an positive speaker experience.
- Develop conference agendas, briefing documents, moderator notes and speaker guidance.
- Oversee conference logistics with the operations team to ensure effective delivery.
- Monitor industry and competitor developments and customer feedback to identify opportunities for innovation.
- Challenge conventional event formats and develop new content experiences that differentiate the events in the market .
- Use AI-powered research, content planning and productivity tools to improve programme development and team efficiency.

- Lead post-event content evaluations, reviewing delegate and speaker feedback and commercial performance.

A minimum of four office days (Monday-Thursday) .
