M&A and Insurance Transactions Associate | NQ – 1PQE | US Law Firm | London

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Corporate Insurance Associate (NQ – 1PQE) to join a prestigious US law firm in London. This role offers exposure to high-profile transactions at the intersection of capital markets and insurance, working with a market-leading team.

The Firm

The firm's Corporate Insurance team is highly regarded for its expertise in capital markets transactions, including insurance-linked securities (ILS), equity and debt capital markets, and structured finance. The team advises major financial institutions, corporates, and investors on innovative transactions across the UK, Europe, and the US.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a junior associate looking to gain cutting-edge experience and work on deals that are shaping the insurance and capital markets space.

The Role

The successful candidate will gain exposure to a broad range of complex transactions, including:

  • CAT bond deals
  • Equity Capital Markets (UK, US & European)
  • Debt Capital Markets (High Yield & Investment Grade)
  • Insurance-Linked Securities Transactions (ILS)

You will work alongside an exceptional team of partners and senior lawyers, advising clients on high-value, multi-jurisdictional transactions. The role offers a steep learning curve, top-tier training, and strong career progression within a firm known for its expertise in corporate finance and insurance law.

Key Requirements

  • NQ – 1PQE, admitted in England & Wales (March 2025 qualifiers encouraged to apply)
  • Strong ECM & DCM experience, ideally including:
  • Equity stock exchange listings (London and/or New York)
  • High Yield DCM transactions
  • Interest in insurance-linked securities and structured finance
  • Experience working on matters with both UK/European and US elements
  • Currently at a top US firm or Magic Circle firm in London
