The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a talented lawyer to work on sophisticated restructuring and insolvency matters. The role involves advising high-profile creditors, debtors, and stakeholders on complex restructurings and recapitalisations, including UK restructuring plans and Chapter 11 proceedings.
You will play a leading role in transactions, collaborating closely with partners and mentoring junior associates, while contributing to the continued growth and success of the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advising on complex restructuring plans, recapitalisations, and insolvency matters.
- Acting as a trusted advisor to creditors, debtors, and other key stakeholders.
- Leading and managing cross-border matters, including collaborating with colleagues across the firm's international network.
- Drafting and negotiating restructuring agreements, recapitalisation plans, and related documentation.
- Supervising junior associates and supporting their development within the practice.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships through proactive and commercial advice.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will be a qualified solicitor with 4–6 PQE gained at a leading restructuring or transactional practice.
Key Attributes:
- Strong technical knowledge and experience in restructuring, insolvency, and related areas.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and client management skills.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to manage complex transactions.
- Experience advising a broad range of stakeholders, including creditors, debtors, and institutional clients.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- A proven track record of mentoring or supervising junior lawyers is highly advantageous.

Candidates MUST be qualified and trained solicitors in England & Wales, with experience gained at a Magic Circle or leading US law firm in London.
