Under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse, assists the professional staff by performing a variety of paraprofessional and technical functions which contribute to the safety, care and comfort of adults and geriatric patients and their families. Provides direct and indirect patient care, including technical skills and procedures, performs routine secretarial and clerical duties and participates in maintaining the environment.

EQUIPMENT OPERATION

  • Use of patient care equipment such as but not limited to sphygmomanometer, scales, pulse oximeter.
  • Performs technical procedures such as but not limited to bedside glucose monitoring.
  • Use of patient care transport equipment such as but not limited to wheelchairs, stretchers and Dialysis.

EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certified Hemo-Dialysis Technician.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English.
