SUMMARY OF POSITION: The Instrument Room Assistant Manager has 24-hour responsibility for directing and coordinating the activities of Instrument Room Attendants engaged in preparation of sterile instruments. The Instrument Room Assistant Manager participates in the budgetary process, tracks and reports instrument expenditures. Establishes and implements auditing and management strategies to assure that instruments are available and in working condition. Maintains sterile processing records according to AORN and AAMI standards.
SCHEDULE: 3 PM-11:30 PM, Mon-Fri.
EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:
- High School diploma or GED required.
- CRCST certification required.
- Must be able to stand/walk for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift and/or move heavy objects (less than 100 pounds).
