Spire St Anthony's Hospital is looking for a dedicated Theatre Assistant to join our operating theatre team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a professional, supportive theatre environment within a leading private healthcare provider.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supporting Nurses and Consultants during surgical procedures
  • Assisting Scrub Nurses within the operating theatres
  • Providing patient support within the anaesthetic room
  • Transporting patients to and from the ward
  • Opening sterile packs and preparing clinical equipment
  • Preparing, checking, and handling instruments prior to procedures
  • Assisting with equipment ordering and stock control
  • Maintaining theatre cleanliness and supporting infection prevention and control
  • Contributing actively to a safe, efficient, and high-quality theatre environment

Who We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant within theatre settings (desirable)
  • NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care or equivalent (e.g. Care Certificate)
  • A caring, compassionate approach with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
