Job Title ENDOCRINOLOGIST CLINICIAN-EDUCATOR at Montefiore Health System Location Bronx, New York Department Division Of Endocrinology Work Schedule MON-FRI • Hours Vary • 8 HOURS daily Program Overview Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, NY is expanding its clinical program in diabetes, obesity and metabolism and seeks to add highly qualified endocrinologists for an academic position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level in the clinician educator track. Responsibilities include clinical care in the endocrinology/diabetes faculty practice, with a special focus in the Supporting Emerging Adults with Diabetes (SEAD) program for young adults with type 1 diabetes. There are also opportunities to participate in a robust multidisciplinary clinical research lab, diabetes collaborative quality improvement and research networks, and fellow/medical student teaching. Competitive salary and benefit package. Responsibilities and Opportunities Provide clinical care in the endocrinology/diabetes faculty practice. Focus on the SEAD program for young adults with type 1 diabetes. Participate in a multidisciplinary clinical research lab. Contribute to diabetes collaborative quality improvement and research networks. Teach medical students and fellows. Requirements Completion of a ACGME approved endocrinology fellowship program. Board certification in endocrinology (or board eligible for recent grads). Interest in type 1 diabetes and/or young adults is especially encouraged.
