Overview

Montefiore Medical Center, the teaching hospital for the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, is dedicated to advancing medical imaging, molecular diagnostics and theranostics. The Department of Radiology is seeking a highly qualified Division Lead of Nuclear Medicine to join a dynamic team at four clinical sites. This is an opportunity for a candidate with a passion for clinical excellence, education, and research to serve one of the nation’s top-ranked hospitals that serves a diverse patient population.

Responsibilities

As Division Lead, you will:

  • Oversee and expand advanced nuclear medicine services at four clinical sites, including general and cardiac nuclear medicine, SPECT, SPECT-CT, PET-CT and theranostics.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and foster internal and external partnerships, including with industry leaders and federal agencies.
  • Lead and participate in education of medical students, residents, and fellows in nuclear medicine and diagnostic radiology.
  • Engage in interdisciplinary tumor boards and conferences in coordination with the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore, the Montefiore Einstein Comprehensive Cancer Center and the Montefiore Einstein Center for Transplantation.
  • Serve as an Authorized User for the Medical Center, advising on the application of new therapeutic agents and radiopharmaceuticals.

Qualifications

  • MD or equivalent with board certification in Nuclear Medicine (ABNM) or Nuclear Radiology (ABR/ABNM).
  • Extensive experience in PET/CT, nuclear cardiology, and theranostics.
  • A strong record of academic accomplishments, including peer-reviewed publications and participation in funded research.
  • Experience in teaching and mentorship in an academic environment.

Compensation & Benefits

Pay range: $400,000.00-$500,000.00. The role offers a competitive salary along with a full suite of benefits including paid malpractice, LTD, paid CME and 403(b) contributions, and additional offerings.
