The Division of Psychiatry and Medicine within the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Montefiore Medical Center and Albert Einstein College of Medicine is seeking up to two full‑time academic Psychiatrists for its Inpatient Consultation Liaison Service on its Moses Campus and a full‑time academic psychiatrist to join our world‑renowned Abdominal Transplant Service.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct inpatient psychiatric consultation and patient care within the Consultation Liaison Service.
  • Supervise trainees’ consults and participate in division and departmental activities.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, pharmacists, care coordinators, and other specialists.
  • Contribute to the education and training of medical students, residents, fellows, and interns.
  • As an Abdominal Transplant Psychiatrist, deliver psychiatric care to transplant patients, integrating with the transplant team and sharing resources such as social workers, psychologists, and other support staff.
  • Participate in academic research, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Board certified or eligible in psychiatry.
  • Additional training in Consultation Liaison Psychiatry and/or Addictions Psychiatry is highly encouraged but not required.
  • Commitment to academic medicine, patient care, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
