Director, Adult Sickle Cell Program – Einstein-Montefiore, Bronx, NY. The Hematology Division of the Department of Oncology at Montefiore Medical Center and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine is seeking a Director of the Adult Sickle Cell Program to oversee New York City’s largest and most comprehensive Sickle Cell Program. Montefiore Medical Center is a major academic institution serving a diverse urban and suburban population and is the primary teaching hospital for the Albert Einstein College of Medicine (Bronx, New York). With approximately 1,300 adults with sickle cell anemia within its network, this program is among the largest sickle-cell clinics in the nation. The Director has oversight at all levels and is responsible for program organization, optimization of patient care and further development of an already well-established clinical trials program.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the Sickle Cell Program within the Montefiore/Einstein system, including care optimization and continued development of the clinical trials program.
- Ensure program organization and integration within the Adult Hematology Division; actively participate in teaching activities for medical students, residents, and fellows.
- Collaborate with an established multidisciplinary team: Assistant Sickle Cell Program Director, three nurse practitioners, a clinical research associate, a dedicated social worker, and administrative staff; oversee infusion unit operations for sickle cell patients.
- Represent the program across Moses and Weiler campuses; contribute to administrative and clinical needs; foster academic interests, particularly in clinical research and clinical trials.
- Manage call responsibilities and participate as part of the on-call schedule (approximately 1 weekend in 8 weeks).

Compensation & Benefits
A full comprehensive benefits package is offered, including long-term disability (LTD), short-term disability (STD), paid malpractice, 403(b) retirement plan, and a generous salary between $350k-$400k, commensurate with experience and academic rank.
