Part-time Associates who have completed their probationary period can move to full-time vacancies within their department provided such movement will not unreasonably reduce the operational efficiency of that department. Probationary period is three (3) months for full-time employees, and four (4) months for part-time employees who work more than 3/5 of the normal workweek.
Summary of Position
The Surgical Technologist will function as a member of the surgical team dedicated to supporting the highest quality care and service to our patients, physicians, and other associates. As an integral part of the team, the Surgical Technologist is responsible to scrub for and assist in various types of surgical procedures, and provide necessary instrumentation, supplies, and equipment for operations. The Surgical Technologist assists in nursing care activities under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
Schedule: 11 AM-9:30 PM, evenings vary.
Education, Training & Experience
- High School graduate or equivalent required.
- Successful completion of a nationally accredited educational program for Surgical Technologists or completion of an appropriate training program for Surgical Technology in the United States Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, or Public Health Service Commissioned Corps.
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certificate required.
