A lovely UHNW family based in Central London is seeking an experienced Private Chef to join their established culinary team of 3 chefs, on a full-time, permanent basis under a rotational schedule of two weeks on and one week off (subject to family schedule and travel). Versatility, flexibility, and the ability to work as part of a team are essential. The successful candidate will have over 10 years’ experience in top-end restaurants and proven experience as a Private Chef within UHNW households, ideally with Michelin-starred experience. The family are sophisticated food lovers with a deep understanding of fine dining, having previously owned Michelin restaurants. They are looking for a chef who can consistently deliver simple and colorful cuisine with strong flavours.
The role includes preparing daily lunch and dinner for a family of four, creating menus featuring Mediterranean, Italian, Spanish, Japanese, and Pan-Asian influences. Meals are generally served family-style, though plated service may be required when entertaining. The position involves close collaboration with a team of long-standing chefs and household staff. The successful candidate must have strong interpersonal skills, humour, and a calm, adaptable attitude suitable for a dynamic environment. The family are known for long‑term staff retention and offer excellent support, including professional development and culinary workshops. This live-out position is based in the family’s primary residence in Knightsbridge, London.
Travel: The chef will also travel internationally with the family, with accommodation provided during trips.
