Overview

The Food & Beverage Attendant works closely with the Food & Beverage Management Team and the General Manager overseeing daily operations of the F&B Outlets, ensuring exceptional service standards and delivering a luxury dining experience.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly, escort them to their tables and ensure their needs are met throughout their dining experience.
  • Provide detailed information about the menu, including specials and beverage pricing.
  • Accurately take orders and ensure all requests, dietary preferences and food allergies are communicated to the kitchen and the bar team.
  • Efficiently serve food and drinks while adhering to the highest standards of presentation and service.
  • Ensure tables are properly set and cleared in a timely manner.
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the food and beverage offerings, including ingredients, preparation methods, and wine pairings.
  • Actively promote additional items and special menu offerings to enhance guest experience.
  • Ensure F&B outlets are impeccably clean and always organised, adhering to Health & Safety regulations.
  • Work closely with kitchen team, bartenders and other attendants to provide a seamless service.
  • Support fellow team members during busy periods or special events.
  • Address any guest concerns or complaints with professionalism.
  • Assist in managing stock inventory, replenishing items as needed and reporting shortages to supervisors.
  • Assist with the preparation and service for special events, banquets, and private dining experiences.
  • Answer and manage incoming calls, emails, and reservations.
  • Ensure accurate billing, cash handling and payment procedures.
  • Collaborate with kitchen team to ensure seamless communication and timely service.
  • Respond to emergency situations calmly and efficiently.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal skills and guest-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent communication and guest service skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of food and beverage service, wine pairings and menu offerings.
  • Familiarity with the Health & Safety regulations in F&B service (HACCP).
  • Proficiency in POS systems.

  • Previous experience in a similar role in a luxury hotel or fine dining environment.
