The Security Officer plays a vital role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for guests, colleagues, and property. The role is responsible for monitoring, preventing, and responding to safety and security risks with professionalism, discretion, and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and ensure the safety and security of hotel guests, staff, and property.
- Operate surveillance systems, monitor cameras, and investigate suspicious activity.
- Conduct regular foot and vehicle patrols across all areas of the hotel.
- Respond promptly to emergencies including fire alarms, medical incidents, or security breaches.
- Control access to restricted areas.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, actions taken, and daily activity reports.
- Participate in emergency drills and follow established hotel emergency procedures.
- Provide support to guests and staff during incidents.
- Liaise with management, local law enforcement, and emergency services when required.
