Overview
The Talent & Acquisition Executive is a key ambassador of Montcalm Collection, representing the company’s values of Belonging, Sensitivity, Wellbeing, Changemaking, and Sustainability with professionalism, grace, and warmth. This role serves as the first point of contact for new team members, providing a seamless, luxury‑standard experience throughout the recruitment and onboarding journey. Working closely with the wider People & Culture team, the Assistant ensures recruitment processes run smoothly, candidates feel informed and welcomed, and hiring managers are supported at every stage. The role also supports pre‑employment checks, onboarding activities, and internal reporting, ensuring compliance with GDPR and UK Home Office Right to Work guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end‑to‑end recruitment for hotel and support roles across the Montcalm Collection.
- Partner with hiring managers to create compelling job descriptions and recruitment briefs.
- Plan, manage, and deliver open recruitment days and career events to attract new talent.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with hospitality schools and universities to engage future graduates.
- Advertise vacancies across relevant job boards, professional networks, and social media platforms.
- Manage and update recruitment‑related content on social media to promote Montcalm’s employer brand.
- Screen applications, conduct initial interviews, and coordinate the full selection process.
- Manage reference checks, right‑to‑work documentation, and the offer process for successful candidates.
- Manage offers, contracts, and onboarding through HRIS platforms (e.g., Harri).
- Support induction programmes for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the business.
- Maintain and update talent pipelines for key roles and future openings.
- Coordinate internal mobility and career progression opportunities.
- Track recruitment metrics and prepare reports to inform workforce planning.

Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, or HR coordination (hospitality or service industry preferred).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust at all levels.
- Strong understanding of end‑to‑end recruitment processes and UK employment law.
- Proven organisational and administrative skills, with high attention to detail.
- Proactive and flexible approach to prioritising tasks and managing time effectively.
- Familiarity with pre‑employment compliance, right‑to‑work checks, and GDPR.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Harri, and Fourth or similar HRIS platforms.
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- CIPD Level 3 (minimum) or working towards Level 5 preferred.
- Highly organised, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple vacancies simultaneously.
- Experience in recruitment marketing, employer branding, or social value recruitment initiatives.
- Knowledge of safer recruitment or safeguarding practices.
Working Conditions
Full‑time, office‑based role with flexibility to travel to properties across London. Requires active engagement with candidates, employees, and managers at multiple sites.
