Location: 100% Remote from anywhere across the UK, with a required 8-hour working overlap with US EST hours.

Extensive Snowflake and Azure experience is mandatory for this role.

Montash are looking for a Lead / Senior Data Architect to own and govern the core Snowflake data model, support advanced analytics and enable scalable AI / agent-queryable use cases across the business.

This role requires strong hands-on experience with Snowflake, Azure and knowledge graph / graph schema design.

Role Focus

You will lead the assessment, design and optimisation of enterprise data architecture, with responsibility for scalable Snowflake modelling, governed data access, schema contracts, lineage and AI-ready data structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the unified Snowflake data model supporting multiple business workstreams
  • Design and govern knowledge graph structures across dealer, vehicle, customer, inventory, pricing
  • Define and maintain schema contracts between engineering teams and stakeholders
  • Establish governed data access layers, including RBAC and access controls for AI / agent queries
  • Ensure data products are structured for LLM tool use, RAG, semantic retrieval and agent-queryable use cases
  • Arbitrate naming conventions, data types and enumerations across workstreams
  • Produce and maintain master data lineage documentation
Required Experience
  • 8+ years in Data Architecture or senior-level Data Engineering
  • Advanced Snowflake data modelling, account architecture and role-based access control
  • Strong Azure data platform experience, including ADF, Synapse, Purview or equivalent
  • Experience designing knowledge graphs, graph schemas, entity relationships and query patterns
  • Strong understanding of AI-ready data products, RAG and semantic retrieval
