We are seeking an experienced Communications Manager to support a large-scale, nationally significant digital transformation programme. This role will focus on leading communications strategy and delivery to support the adoption of a major technology platform across a complex, multi-stakeholder environment. It requires playing a key role in ensuring that communications are clear, consistent and aligned to programme delivery, supporting successful rollout and user adoption.

Working closely with programme, change and engagement teams, the successful candidate will translate complex technical and operational information into effective communications for a wide range of audiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and own the communications strategy and integrated communications plan, aligned to programme milestones and delivery timelines
  • Translate complex technical and delivery information into clear, audience-appropriate messaging
  • Design and deliver communications for a large, multi-stakeholder environment, tailoring messaging to different user groups and senior stakeholders
  • Lead the production of key communication materials including programme updates, briefings, guidance and user-facing content
  • Manage and coordinate communications across multiple channels including email, intranet, briefings and live sessions
  • Work closely with change, engagement and programme teams to ensure consistent messaging and alignment with delivery activity
  • Support readiness and adoption activities by ensuring stakeholders understand what is changing, when and what is required of them
  • Identify and manage communications-related risks, particularly around cutover, phased delivery and operational readiness
  • Ensure communications are planned, tracked and auditable in line with programme governance requirements

Essential Skills:

  • Active, unelapsed SC Clearance
  • Proven experience leading communications within large-scale digital transformation programmes
  • Experience operating across complex, multi-organisation stakeholder environments
  • Strong ability to translate technical and programme information into clear, actionable communications
  • Experience working closely with change, engagement and delivery teams in fast-paced environments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience engaging senior stakeholders
  • Strong planning, organisation and coordination skills across multiple workstreams
  • Experience supporting system transitions, cutovers or large-scale technology adoption
  • Experience working within governed, high-assurance programme environments

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience working within government, policing or law enforcement environments
  • Experience supporting national-scale transformation or adoption programmes
  • Familiarity with highly regulated or security-sensitive environments
  • Experience working with distributed user bases and operational stakeholders
