We are supporting an anonymous defence organisation delivering a secure, regulated technology programme and they are looking for an experienced Scrum Master with strong Jira expertise to support Agile delivery across engineering, architecture, security, and supplier teams. Agile delivery in secure, complex environments needs more than ceremony facilitation. This role needs a Scrum Master who can keep delivery moving, governance tight, and teams focused.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Facilitating Agile ceremonies including stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
- Managing and improving delivery workflows using Jira Software
- Supporting Product Owners with backlog refinement and prioritisation
- Tracking delivery metrics, milestones, RAID, dependencies, and progress reporting
- Removing blockers and enabling Agile teams to deliver effectively
- Working within secure, governed, and compliance-led environments
- Coordinating with engineering, architecture, security, supplier, and stakeholder groups
- Supporting the delivery of COTS, bespoke, cloud-native, and legacy application workstreams
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a Scrum Master in Agile delivery environments
- Strong hands-on Jira experience across boards, epics, workflows, and reporting
- Experience working in secure, regulated, or high-compliance environments
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to adapt Agile practices to real-world delivery constraints
- Experience managing dependencies across multiple teams, suppliers, or systems
- Familiarity with Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, or similar Agile frameworks
- Security-aware mindset and confidence working with governance processes
Nice to Have
- Scrum certification such as CSM, PSM, or SAFe Scrum Master
- Experience with DevSecOps environments
- Exposure to restricted, air-gapped, or secure network environments
- Experience supporting UK public sector or secure technology programmes
