Urgently hiring a Frontend Developer to support development and maintenance of a high availability system in a containerized environment. This client will put you through NPPV3 clearance, as part of onboarding.
Key Responsibilities- Handle and resolve tickets across incidents, changes and requests in line with GDS standards
- Oversee deployment preparation, including packaging of builds for release into live environment
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and enhancements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, managing requests and troubleshooting issues
- Diagnosing problems by consulting with domain experts to broaden technical understanding
- Maintaining and supporting a legacy system, including its outdated deployment processes
- Support and enhance the current system, ensuring stability and functionality
- Implement updates within a legacy codebase, assuming technical ownership and building deep subject knowledge
- Refresh technical documentation as and when updates are made to the service
- Ensure all modifications undergo peer validation before being merged
- Push all approved code changes to the main project branch
- Design, execute, and pass feature-level and external API tests as appropriate
- Revise API documentation in alignment with functional updates where needed
- Present developed features for review and sign-off during sprint closure
- Share a summary of completed development items with QA at each sprint’s end for review
- Participate in showcasing completed work for validation by Programme leadership, supported by the Delivery Manager where required
- Finalise development tasks by collectively confirming their completion during the team’s Show and Tell review
