I'm working with a major organisation operating in a highly regulated utilities environment that is looking for a Product Owner/Data Product Owner to support the delivery of critical data products across the business. This role sits at the intersection of operations, data and technology, owning product roadmaps and delivery priorities for data products that improve reporting, decision-making, regulatory visibility and operational performance. Water/utilities sector experience is a mandatory requirement for this role.
You will take ownership of data product roadmaps, backlogs and delivery priorities, working closely with business stakeholders, operational SMEs, data engineers, analysts and architects. You'll translate operational and regulatory requirements into clear product outcomes, helping teams deliver scalable data solutions that create measurable business value.
Key Responsibilities- Own and prioritise data product roadmaps, backlogs and delivery plans
- Translate operational and regulatory requirements into clear delivery outcomes
- Work with engineers, analysts and architects to manage dependencies and delivery risks
- Engage senior stakeholders and operational SMEs to align priorities and drive adoption
- Support governance, documentation, ownership models and decision tracking
- Identify risks, platform dependencies and live service issues across delivery cycles
- Strong background as a Product Owner, Product Manager or Data Product Manager
- Proven experience delivering data products, reporting solutions or data platforms
- Mandatory experience within water, utilities or a closely related regulated operational sector
- Good understanding of datasets, pipelines, reporting, lineage, reuse and data quality
- Familiarity with cloud data ecosystems, ideally Azure and Power BI
