Montash are looking for a Lead / Senior Data Architect to own and govern the core Snowflake data model, support advanced analytics and enable scalable AI / agent-queryable use cases across the business.
This role requires strong hands-on experience with Snowflake, Azure and knowledge graph / graph schema design.
Role FocusYou will lead the assessment, design and optimisation of enterprise data architecture, with responsibility for scalable Snowflake modelling, governed data access, schema contracts, lineage and AI-ready data structures.
Key Responsibilities- Own the unified Snowflake data model supporting multiple business workstreams
- Design and govern knowledge graph structures across dealer, vehicle, customer, inventory, pricing
- Define and maintain schema contracts between engineering teams and stakeholders
- Establish governed data access layers, including RBAC and access controls for AI / agent queries
- Ensure data products are structured for LLM tool use, RAG, semantic retrieval and agent-queryable use cases
- Arbitrate naming conventions, data types and enumerations across workstreams
- Produce and maintain master data lineage documentation
- 8+ years in Data Architecture or senior-level Data Engineering
- Advanced Snowflake data modelling, account architecture and role-based access control
- Strong Azure data platform experience, including ADF, Synapse, Purview or equivalent
- Experience designing knowledge graphs, graph schemas, entity relationships and query patterns
- Strong understanding of AI-ready data products, RAG and semantic retrieval
