Montash are working with a major organisation undergoing a large-scale data transformation programme to modernise its cloud data platform and accelerate adoption of advanced analytics, machine learning and AI. They are looking to engage a Principal Data Architect to define the architecture and design of enterprise data products across Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, Azure and Databricks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define architecture and solution designs for enterprise data products
  • Lead data modelling, integration and governance across Snowflake, Fabric, Azure and Databricks
  • Provide direction across CDC, streaming, API access and ETL / ELT patterns
  • Establish standards for data security, access controls and regulatory compliance
  • Guide complex data migration from RDBMS, SAP, Salesforce, GIS and other enterprise systems
  • Align technical solutions with business, analytics and engineering stakeholders
  • Support AI, machine learning and advanced analytics use cases through scalable data architecture

Key Skills & Experience

  • Strong Data Architecture background within large-scale enterprise environments
  • End-to-end cloud data platform delivery experience using Snowflake, Fabric and Azure
  • Deep Snowflake experience, including Snowpark, SnowPipe, Dynamic Tables, Cortex Analytics and RBAC
  • Strong understanding of data modelling, ELT pipelines, data virtualisation, streaming and integration patterns
  • Experience with tools such as Databricks, Matillion, Alteryx, Qlik, Power BI, AzureML and ERStudio
  • Strong knowledge of data security, GDPR, SoX and regulated access control environments
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence technical and business leadership teams
