We’re seeking an experienced PostgreSQL DBA to join a major data programme, supporting critical systems that demand exceptional performance, reliability, and security. This is a long-term engagement for a hands-on database engineer who excels in optimisation, compliance, and resilience planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, optimise, and maintain PostgreSQL databases for scalability and performance
  • Implement and monitor access controls, encryption, and auditing in line with company standards
  • Manage automated backups, restores, and disaster recovery strategies
  • Proactively monitor system health and performance using PostgreSQL and AWS-native tools
  • Apply patches and manage version upgrades for managed AWS PostgreSQL instances
