We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to join a large-scale digital transformation programme, working closely with engineering squads delivering cloud-based platforms and services. This role focuses on owning product vision, roadmap and delivery outcomes across technically complex environments, ensuring that engineering teams deliver high-value, user-centric solutions aligned to business objectives. The successful candidate will operate within a cross-functional environment of engineers, DevOps specialists and architects, helping to shape product direction while enabling effective delivery within Agile teams.
Responsibilities:
- Define and communicate a clear product vision and strategy, aligning stakeholders and engineering teams to shared outcomes
- Own and manage the product lifecycle from discovery through to live service and continuous improvement
- Develop and maintain product roadmaps, release plans and lifecycle strategies, ensuring alignment with programme goals
- Act as the voice of the user, ensuring user needs and feedback drive product decisions
- Own and prioritise the product backlog, balancing short-term delivery with long-term product investment
- Work closely with engineering and platform teams to ensure technical solutions align with product objectives
- Use data, metrics and user insights to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement
- Provide sign-off on delivered functionality prior to release into production environments
- Collaborate with stakeholders across business, technical and delivery teams to ensure alignment and transparency
Essential Skills:
- SC Clearance
- Proven experience operating as a Product Manager or Product Owner within digital or technology programmes
- Strong experience working within Agile delivery environments, including backlog ownership and sprint planning
- Experience managing product lifecycle stages (discovery, alpha, beta, live)
- Ability to work closely with technical teams (engineering, DevOps, architecture) in complex environments
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience using data and user feedback to drive product decisions and continuous improvement
- Understanding of cloud-based platforms, DevOps environments or modern engineering practices
Desirable Skills:
- Experience working within government, defence or highly regulated environments
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and platform engineering environments
- Experience working with DevOps teams, CI/CD pipelines or platform-based products
- Familiarity with GDS or product-centric delivery frameworks
