We are supporting a large technology transformation programme in hiring a Business Systems Analyst to support complex systems, data and integration-focused change. This role sits within a fast-paced delivery environment, working closely with business stakeholders, Product Owners, Developers, Testers and technical teams.

The successful candidate will analyse business and technical requirements, support high-level design activity, document data flows and integrations, and help shape workable solutions across complex systems and data landscapes. This role suits a hands-on Business Systems Analyst with strong experience across data analysis, system integrations, APIs, source-to-target mapping, Agile delivery and stakeholder engagement within technical delivery environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyse business requirements, technical requirements, process flows, data sources and system dependencies
  • Work closely with business and technical stakeholders to identify interdependencies, impacts and delivery risks
  • Support high-level design activity by documenting data flows, transformations, sequence diagrams and source-to-target mappings
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Developers, Testers and technical teams to shape workable delivery solutions
  • Support Agile delivery using Scrum, contributing to backlog readiness, requirement clarification and sprint delivery activity
  • Manage late requirements, scope changes and changing delivery priorities in a structured and controlled way
  • Identify and document non-functional requirements, including security, release strategy and operational considerations
  • Produce clear analysis artefacts using tools such as Microsoft Visio, Draw.io, Jira, Confluence and Microsoft Office
  • Analyse and document integration requirements across APIs, web services, databases and cloud-based environments
  • Work with diverse data sources including Oracle, SQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, Excel, JSON and CSV
  • Support stakeholder communications, task tracking and closure of actions across business and technical teams
  • Provide onsite client-facing support, maintaining close engagement with stakeholders and delivery teams
Essential Skills
  • Strong experience as a Business Systems Analyst within technical delivery environments
  • Significant Business Systems Analysis experience, including experience within technical or systems-focused programmes
  • Strong hands-on data analysis experience across diverse data sources such as Oracle, SQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, Excel, JSON and CSV
  • Experience designing data flows, documenting data transformations and producing source-to-target mappings
  • Experience supporting high-level design activity, including sequence diagrams and technical analysis documentation
  • Strong understanding of APIs, system integrations, data mapping and web services
  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments using Scrum
  • Proven experience collaborating with Product Owners, Developers, Testers and cross-functional technical teams
  • Ability to work closely with developers to evolve practical, workable solutions
  • Strong stakeholder management skills across business and technical audiences
  • Ability to manage late requirements, changing priorities and scope changes in fast-paced environments
  • Ability to identify and document non-functional requirements, including security and release considerations
  • Experience using business analysis tools such as Microsoft Visio, Draw.io, Jira, Confluence and Microsoft Office
  • Strong persistence and follow-through, including chasing stakeholders, tracking actions and closing tasks
  • Excellent analytical, communication and documentation skills
  • Significant onsite client-facing experience
Desirable Skills
  • Experience with SQL, PL/SQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, JSON, CSV and MuleSoft
  • Experience working on data-intensive, web services or cloud migration projects
  • Experience within the financial sector, public sector and/or similarly complex regulated domains
  • Understanding of multi-product and multi-domicile system configurations
  • Experience working with interdependent government systems or complex public-sector data integrations
  • Familiarity with business systems connected to external organisations
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new business analysis tools, standards and delivery environments
