We are supporting a government client in hiring a Senior Full Stack .
NET Developer to join their engineering team, providing technical leadership across the development lifecycle while supporting the delivery, enhancement and operation of a business-critical platform.
This is a hands-on senior development role covering application design, build and delivery, alongside code review, technical assurance and mentoring of less experienced engineers and apprentices.
The successful candidate will need strong, demonstrable experience across C#/.
NET application development, AWS/cloud-native delivery, CI/CD pipelines and application monitoring, while acting as a technical lead across assigned work packages and development teams.
This role suits an experienced Senior Full Stack .
NET Developer comfortable leading feature delivery and mentoring engineers within a secure, business-critical environment, and participating in incident response and on-call rotas as required, given that many of the supported systems operate 24/7.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of development work packages and complex software changes across the platform
- Design, develop and maintain application services using C#, . NET, React, Vue. js and REST APIs
- Conduct peer reviews and technical assurance activities to maintain code quality, security and maintainability
- Support solution design activities and contribute to technical decision-making within Agile delivery teams
- Support microservice-based and cloud-native solutions running on AWS
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Git Lab
- Mentor and coach developers, apprentices and less experienced engineers, providing guidance on engineering standards and best practices
- Investigate and resolve complex technical issues affecting application services and platform integrations
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Delivery Managers, architects and engineering teams to support successful delivery outcomes
- Contribute to operational support, incident resolution and continuous service improvement activities
- Maintain technical documentation, engineering standards and knowledge-sharing materials
- Participate in operational support activities, incident response and on-call rotas as required
Essential Skills
- Strong hands-on C#, . NET and Entity Framework experience, with solid object-oriented design and SOLID principles
- Strong experience with Java Script, React and Vue. js, including REST API development and microservices architecture
- Experience leading software delivery, code reviews and technical assurance, and mentoring or coaching less experienced engineers
- Experience with Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF)
- Strong secure coding practices
- Hands-on AWS experience, including Docker-based deployment
- Experience implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Git Lab
- Understanding of Infrastructure as Code principles
- Experience with application monitoring and observability
- Experience with Postgre SQL
- Experience with Elastic and Kibana, including application monitoring, troubleshooting and performance optimisation
