Day Rate: £575

We are seeking a Lead Enterprise Architect to support a major strategic infrastructure programme within the utility sector. This is a high-impact role focused on shaping the enterprise architecture across a complex joint-venture environment, helping define the systems, capabilities, integrations, data flows and non-functional requirements needed to support a large-scale transformation programme.

This role would suit an experienced Enterprise Architect who is comfortable operating in a heavily matrixed environment, influencing senior stakeholders, and producing architecture materials that support strategic decision-making at programme and steering committee level.

Key Experience:
  • JV architecture / Multi-org alignment and solution definition
  • Non‑functional, security, and regulatory assurance
Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the primary architecture resource for a major strategic infrastructure programme.
  • Identify business capabilities, requirements, key systems and data lifecycles within scope.
  • Analyse gaps between current-state and target-state architecture, including systems, data, integration and NFRs.
  • Work closely with security SMEs to ensure proposed solutions align with required security controls.
  • Assess vendor and internal technology roadmaps to understand future impacts and opportunities.
  • Identify integration points, system dependencies and potential enterprise architecture options.
  • Review regulatory, commercial and policy constraints affecting systems and data.
  • Recommend suitable solution options across a complex joint-venture environment.
  • Produce and maintain architecture materials for senior review and governance forums.
  • Ensure solutions align with the agreed strategic architecture approach and support delivery at pace.
  • Use architectural models, reports and insights to support strategic planning and decision-making.
