An AWS Fullstack Developer is required by a government end client to develop and maintain existing software through a ticket system for incident, change, problem processes and service requests in accordance with the agreed PPPT / DDaT operating models.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and maintaining the existing service.
  • Building new, large microservices (high availability with strong data integrity).
  • Updating service documentation where necessary.
  • Conducting peer reviews.
  • Demonstration and acceptance of changes by the Programme Manager or agent, on behalf of PM, during Sprint Reviews.
  • Provide on-call support as part of a 24/7 L3 support team.

  • Backend Development: Java v17, Spring/Spring Boot
  • Frontend Development: Angular/HTML
  • Cloud & DevOps: AWS, Kubernetes/Docker, Local Stack
  • Data: JPA/Hibernate, MongoDB/MySQL
  • Architecture: Microservices Architecture (high availability), REST APIs
  • Security: PKIs, Observability & Monitoring
  • Testing: JUnit, TDD, Integration Tests & End-To-End Testing
  • Best Practices: SOLID principles
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills working with various stakeholders

Desirable Skills:

  • Backend Development: Alfresco/Activiti/Camunda
  • Frontend Development: React
  • Cloud & DevOps: Deep knowledge of DevOps principles and GitOps practices, Linux (in a containerized environment), Apache Zookeeper, Apache Nifi
  • Data: GIS
  • Architecture: API Spec (Swagger OpenAPI)
