We are supporting a large wholesale retail organisation in hiring an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of two key workstreams within a major product and systems programme currently underway. This is a hands-on delivery role requiring someone who can manage day-to-day project activity across multiple workstreams, coordinate third-party development partners, business analysts, product owners and internal stakeholders, and maintain strong governance and reporting throughout. The successful candidate will be accountable for delivery against agreed milestones, risk and dependency management, and ensuring smooth transition of delivered capabilities into business operations.

This role suits an experienced Project Manager with a minimum of 8 years of delivery experience, comfortable managing Agile and third-party development teams, coordinating UAT activity for website and system changes, and engaging confidently with senior stakeholders across both business and technology communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead day-to-day delivery across the assigned project workstreams, ensuring milestones are met to agreed schedule and within budget.
  • Develop and maintain integrated project plans, milestone trackers, RAID logs and weekly progress reports.
  • Coordinate activities across business stakeholders, business analysts, product owners and third-party development partners.
  • Manage risks, issues, dependencies and decisions, ensuring timely escalation where required.
  • Facilitate governance forums, steering meetings, workshops and project reviews.
  • Drive stakeholder engagement and communication across business and technology teams.
  • Coordinate UAT activity for changes to websites and systems, ensuring delivery readiness and quality assurance.
  • Support identification and management of change requests, scope impacts and commercial considerations.
  • Ensure successful transition of delivered capabilities into business operations.
Essential Skills
  • Minimum 8 years of Project Manager experience, with a proven track record delivering business transformation or technology programmes.
  • Experience collating and managing requirements across business and technical stakeholder groups.
  • Proven experience managing third-party development teams using Agile delivery approaches.
  • Experience coordinating UAT for changes to websites or digital systems.
  • Strong project governance, planning, risk management and RAID log maintenance skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams, suppliers and senior stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Strong communication, facilitation and problem-solving skills with the ability to engage across business and technology audiences.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience delivering projects within wholesale, retail or similar fast-paced consumer business environments.
  • Familiarity with both Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
  • Experience producing weekly progress reporting and maintaining risk registers for programme leadership.
  • Prince2 Practitioner, PMP or equivalent project management certification.
