Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate financial statements and reports (IFRS / GAAP).
- Regulatory returns (high-level - template driven so can be learnt).
- Assist with the preparation of statutory accounts and external audits.
- Monitor and analyse financial data to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate reporting and data integrity.
- Keep updated on changes in accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Support the Accounting & Finance department with ad-hoc projects and reporting requirements.
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial processes and controls.
- Assist with FP&A as well so great opportunity to build into budgets/forecasts/PnL and modelling - Power BI visualization.
Qualifications
- A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, ACA, or CIMA).
- Experience in financial reporting within any lender.
- Strong knowledge of relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
- Proficiency in financial systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within the Accounting & Finance team.
