Would you like to help build a market-leading Cyber underwriting business? We are recruiting an underwriter to grow the MGA's portfolio of cyber business, with the aim of producing pioneering client solutions and a sustainably profitable portfolio for our carrier partners. The MGA targets mid-market clients who are domiciled around the world. This is a pivotal initiative for Aon, with sponsorship from the highest level and will benefit from being able to draw on Aon's extensive Cyber Solutions capabilities, broking and client knowledge, actuarial and exposure management teams as well as the opportunity to develop other proprietary tools. Hybrid role with the flexibility to work from London office and virtually.
What the day will look like:
- Help establish a market leading cyber insurance proposition
- Be able to understand and consistently apply the team's cyber underwriting approach
- Operate within delegated authority limits
- Generate new business opportunities by building relationships with the wider global Aon broking teams, while ensuring the team maintains acceptable service levels
- Develop good working relationships with AUM's capacity providers to ensure seamless referral processes
- Monitor the competitiveness of product in terms of price and scope of cover
- Ensure risk data is accurately recorded and reported
- Provide input to the development and marketing of the cyber MGA's products, while utilising the strength of Aon's world class cyber capabilities in placement, risk management and response
- Responsible for working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework
Skills and experience that will lead to success:
- Proven experience within underwriting, with experience in cyber or related classes
- Good understanding of cyber risks business' face
- Demonstrable ability to manage multiple internal stakeholders
- Knowledge of MGA business including Delegated Authority management, Lloyd's and Company markets
- Strong cultural awareness and experience working with or in multiple jurisdictions is an added plus
- Able to establish excellent working relationships with brokers and insurers
- Knowledge of how to profitably grow a book of insurance business
- Entrepreneurial attitude and self-starter
