Are you ready to take on a senior client‑facing role at one of the world’s leading risk advisors and insurance brokers? Aon is looking for a Client Director to join our Corporate team in Birmingham. This hybrid opportunity offers flexibility, combining time in our Birmingham office with remote working.
As a Client Director, you’ll be responsible for overseeing a portfolio of corporate clients, ensuring exceptional service delivery and strategic alignment across risk and insurance programmes. You’ll collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to meet client needs and drive long‑term value.
The primary responsibility of the role is to handle a portfolio of corporate clients, identifying and understanding the client’s strategic direction and risk requirements to design and deliver a profitable Scope of Service Agreement.
Day to Day Duties
- Identify each client’s service requirements and lead the client service team to ensure service meets agreed standards.
- Handle client expectations: keep them informed of progress and communicate appropriately, taking timely action to identify and correct problems.
- Ensure delivery to the highest standard using best practice processes and conduct regular reviews with clients, issuing meeting minutes promptly after meetings.
- Act as senior relationship manager for designated clients, coordinating client relationship management across the whole of Aon.
- Build senior level relationships within their clients to enable strategic engagement.
- Look for new sales opportunities, possibly selling additional Aon services, and work with the New Business Developers in supporting future client visits.
- Develop and support less experienced team members in achieving their objectives through coaching and mentoring.
- Contribute to the development of strategy through the regional leadership team.
- Liaise with other team managers and line management to ensure effective working relationships between the Client Management, Broking, and Client Service teams, so that together they drive revenue and profit growth.
