The Team
The HR Team at Montagu Evans enables to the business to exceed its objectives by providing the right people at the right time. It is a dynamic and vibrant team of eight, covering the full spectrum of HR activity. As they have embedded further within the business, so their contribution and success has grown, they now require an HR Business Partner to help support the ongoing activities and new projects within the business.
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly organised TA Assistant to join our HR team and provide support across our recruitment activities. The role is focused on ensuring a seamless candidate journey through strong administration and process management.
You will play a key role in candidate management – coordinating interviews, keeping applicants informed, and delivering an excellent candidate experience that reflects our firm’s values. You’ll help build and maintain talent pools to support future hiring needs.
You should be comfortable with systems ensuring our applicant tracking system and recruitment data are accurate, up to date, and compliant. By supporting both experienced hire and early careers recruitment, you’ll help us attract and retain the best talent while freeing up the wider TA team to focus on strategic priorities.
Main Duties, Responsibilities, Accountabilities
Candidate Attraction, Sourcing & Screening
- Prepare job descriptions and post roles via ATS (ICIMS).
- Use LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, and Boolean search to identify and engage candidates, including for hard-to-fill and recurring roles.
- Support diversity sourcing initiatives to broaden candidate reach.
- Review CVs/applications, shortlist candidates, and maintain accurate ATS records.
- Ensure timely communication, feedback loops, and a positive candidate experience.
Candidate Experience & Process Support
- Act as first point of contact for candidates, representing Montagu Evans professionally.
- Coordinate all interview scheduling, logistics, and room bookings.
- Cover HR Assistant duties when required, including offer management and onboarding.
Early Careers & Employer Branding
- Support CV shortlisting, and programme delivery for graduates, interns, and apprenticeships.
- Represent Montagu Evans at careers events and university outreach.
- Maintain programme timelines and milestones.
- Contribute to employer branding, social media campaigns, and outreach content.
Talent Pooling & Market Insights
- Build and nurture talent pools for future hiring needs.
- Maintain relationships with passive candidates through regular engagement.
- Share insights on talent availability, market trends, and salary benchmarks.
Desired Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- Experience in an administration or support role.
- Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (e.g., Workday, Greenhouse, or similar)
- Comfortable managing multiple vacancies or projects at once
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Confident communicator — both written and verbal
- Able to build positive relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and external partners
- Prior experience in recruitment or HR administration (desirable)
